&descText=The Trail quickly ascends through lush jungle. The Kalalau trail was rebuilt in the 1800's to move cattle and crops to market. Stones were set in the ground to prevent erosion from the severe storms of the Na Pali coast.  During the 1930's, the begining portion of the trail was repaired.&
